SERVICE PATHWAYS
Three Pathways, One Standard of Care
Each service at Wira Putra is structured around what the watch actually needs — its movement type, sealing requirements, or the conservation demands of its age and rarity.

How the Work Is Structured
Every service begins the same way — with documentation, a written intake assessment, and a conversation about the watch. From that foundation, the appropriate pathway is selected and agreed on before any work begins.
STEP 01
Intake & Assessment
Photography, written condition notes, and a conversation about what the owner has observed.
STEP 02
Disassembly & Inspection
Components examined under magnification. Wear and condition assessed before cleaning begins.
STEP 03
Service & Regulation
Cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, and multi-position timing regulation using professional equipment.
STEP 04
Observation & Return
Multi-day observation period before the piece is returned with documentation and test results.
SERVICE 01
Comprehensive Movement Overhaul
A complete service pathway for mechanical, automatic, and small-complication calibres, carried out following horological convention. The watch is documented through photographs and a written intake examination noting current rate behaviour, water resistance condition, and any owner-noted concerns.
The movement is fully disassembled, with each component individually cleaned through staged ultrasonic processes using horological-grade solvents, inspected under magnification, and renewed where wear has progressed beyond acceptable tolerance. Mainsprings, pivot surfaces, jewel settings, and pallet stones receive particular attention.
Reassembly follows with carefully chosen lubrication on each contact surface, regulation across multiple positions on professional timing equipment, and a multi-day observation before return. Suited for watches following their service interval, or pieces whose accuracy has drifted outside original tolerances.
KEY ELEMENTS
Full disassembly and staged ultrasonic cleaning
Component inspection and selective renewal
Surface-specific lubrication on reassembly
Multi-position regulation on professional timing equipment
Multi-day observation period before return
SERVICE 02
Water Resistance Service
A focused service designed to restore and verify the integrity of a watch's sealing system — the gaskets and surfaces that protect the movement from moisture, dust, and pressure. The work begins with assessment of the case construction, identification of all gasket positions, and inspection of the crown, pushers, case back, and crystal seat for damage or distortion.
All gaskets in the system are renewed with correctly specified components, and threaded surfaces are cleaned and lubricated where appropriate. Following reassembly, the watch is subjected to dry pressure testing and, where appropriate to its stated rating, wet pressure testing using calibrated equipment.
A written test result accompanies the returned watch. Particularly suited for dive references, sport watches, and any timepiece where water exposure is part of regular use, with the service generally recommended every two to three years.
KEY ELEMENTS
Full gasket renewal at crown, pushers, case back, and crystal seat
Inspection of all sealing surfaces for distortion or damage
Calibrated dry and wet pressure testing
Written pressure test result returned with the watch
SERVICE 03
Collector & Vintage Service
A specialised pathway for collector-grade and vintage references, where preservation of originality is central to the service approach. The work follows the structure of a comprehensive overhaul but with extended consultation, conservation-led decision making, and detailed documentation.
Original dials, hands, and case surfaces are preserved wherever their condition allows, with conservation favoured over refinishing. Where parts replacement is required, period-correct components are sourced through specialist suppliers. Each stage of the work is photographed, and a written condition dossier accompanies the returned watch.
The owner is consulted before any non-reversible action is taken. Timelines run from twelve to eighteen weeks depending on parts availability and the depth of work required. Suited for vintage chronographs, early automatic references, and important pieces forming part of a considered long-term collection.
KEY ELEMENTS
Conservation-led approach — preserve over replace where possible
Period-correct parts sourced through specialist supplier networks
Full photographic record of each service stage
Written condition dossier returned with the watch
Owner consulted before all non-reversible steps
CHOOSING A SERVICE
Which Service Fits Your Watch?
The right pathway depends on the watch's age, how it is used, and what you're hoping to achieve. This comparison may help narrow it down.

BEST FOR
Movement Overhaul
Watches past their service interval, or pieces running outside original accuracy tolerances. Automatic and manual-wind calibres in regular use.
BEST FOR
Water Resistance
Dive watches, sport references, and any piece regularly exposed to water. Recommended every two to three years regardless of movement service status.
BEST FOR
Collector & Vintage
Vintage chronographs, early automatics, and important pieces where originality and documented provenance carry value for the owner or market.
STANDARDS ACROSS ALL SERVICES
Protocols Applied to Every Piece
Photographic Intake
Every watch is photographed on arrival, creating a baseline record before work begins.
Staged Ultrasonic Cleaning
Horological-grade solvents, sequenced to match the material sensitivities of different components.
Secure Custody
Watches are held in secure storage throughout their service and handled only at the workbench.
Magnification Inspection
Components inspected under magnification before reassembly to identify wear not visible to the naked eye.
Multi-Position Regulation
Regulation across all standard orientations using professional timing equipment, followed by multi-day observation.
Documentation on Return
Test results, condition notes, and — for collector work — a full dossier accompany every returned piece.
